Sam Hunt Racing competes full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, creating a value-packed platform for NASCAR’s future stars.
What started as an “all-in” single-race team in 2019 has turned into a competitive, full-time independent NASCAR Xfinity Series Team. Spearheaded by former racecar driver Sam Hunt, the young team is one of the fiercest organizations on and off the track. In 2024, Sam Hunt Racing is competing with a rotation of drivers including young rookies to motorsport veterans.
How it all began…
Sam Hunt has been surrounded by racing his entire life. Having found his passion for racing while growing up in Holland, Hunt returned to the United States in 2004 with his family and began his NASCAR career in 2012. Following advice and mentorship of JD Gibbs, Sam pursued a Business & Finance degree at Virginia Commonwealth University. His goal was to open and operate his race team and in the Fall of 2017, Sam Hunt Racing was born.
Owned and operated by Sam Hunt, the team currently operates out of Mooresville, North Carolina.
